Johari Rotana Hotel is looking for a passionate and dynamic events manager with a talent for delivering outstanding customer service and innovative solutions. We are looking for an Events Manager to join our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Role Overview:

As an Events Manager your work will be focused on supporting the Director of Catering and Events in achieving the hotel event sales targets. In this position, you will oversee daily sales activities by maintaining operational standards using the Opera system and ensuring seamless communication within the hotel regarding all booked events.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients at Johari Rotana Hotel sp as to enhance customer satisfaction and boost business growth.
• Collaborating with Rotana Outbound Sales and Area Sales Offices so as to maximize lead conversion and guest loyalty.
• Meeting and exceeding performance standards by maintaining a result of above 70%.
• Ensuring meeting rooms and equipment are well maintained and reporting of issue that goes against hotel standards
• Overseeing the seamless flow of event-related information during distribution
• Handling incoming client requests and coordinating to the sales team by following up on proposals.
• Optimizing hotel revenue through strategic yield management and upselling of facilities and services.
• Supervising banquet operations before, during and after events by ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Collecting and encouraging guest feedback through promoting the Guest Satisfaction Survey.
• At Johari Rotana Hotel you will be  Leading by example, demonstrating professionalism.
• Staying updated on hotel products based on competitor analysis and market trends.
• Reporting about operational challenges to the Director of Catering and Events so as to maintain high service standards.
• Following health, safety, and environmental policies at Johari Rotana Hotel that will ensure a safe working environment for guests and employees.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Sales, Hospitality, or related.
• Previous experience in event management or sales in the hospitality industry.
• Able to use computers well
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
