Job Overview
Fastlink Safaris and Tours Limited is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Reservation Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our travel packages, handling client reservations, and delivering top-notch customer service. Your goal will be to maintain strong client relationships, streamline the booking process, and help drive company growth through successful sales and reservations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Marketing
- Promote and sell travel packages, tours, and related services to both individual and group clients.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Identify new business opportunities and actively contribute to marketing campaigns.
2. Reservations Management
- Respond to client inquiries and offer personalized travel solutions, including itineraries and air ticket bookings.
- Process and confirm reservations for accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all bookings and confirmations.
- Coordinate with travel suppliers and partners to guarantee seamless service delivery.
3. Customer Service
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Provide expert travel advice, including itinerary planning, visa requirements, and travel insurance.
- Follow up with clients post-trip to gather feedback and strengthen customer relationships.
4. Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and sales activities.
- Prepare regular sales and reservation reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
5. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Contribute ideas and strategies in team meetings to improve services and sales performance.
6. Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new travel destinations.
- Provide insights and recommendations for new travel products and service improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- Prior experience in sales, reservations, or customer service within the travel and tourism industry is an advantage.
- Familiarity with booking systems and reservation tools is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre is a strong advantage.
Sales & Customer Service Skills
- Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle customer issues professionally and deliver excellent service.
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of travel and tourism products, including destinations, accommodations, and transportation.
- Familiarity with visa requirements, travel regulations, and itinerary planning.
