Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is currently hiring for Programme Assistant to join their working team in Pemba, Zanzibar.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As sellected candidate you will be required to implement and oversee daily peacebuilding activities in Pemba by working through established community structures such as girls clubs, community writers, interfaith committees.
As sellected candidate you will be required to organize capacity building sessions as per the project plan and timeline.
As sellected candidate you will be required to serve as a resource person so that to enhance project planning and implementation at the community level.
As sellected candidate you will be required to integrate economic empowerment and peacebuilding components so that to create a holistic approach.
As sellected candidate you will be required to maintain strong relationships with local government authorities and community stakeholders.
As sellected candidate you will be required to provide ongoing support so that to target groups by ensuring long term impact and sustainability.
As sellected candidate you will be required to contribute to the project in timely and effective way

Qualifications and Experience

Candidate with Diploma or Bachelor degree in Community Development, Peacebuilding Studies, Inter-Cultural Relations or Social Sciences from recognized institution.
Candidate with relevant experience in peacebuilding initiatives
Candidate with strong writing and communication skills.
Candidate with the ability to facilitate learning and training sessions.
Candidate with adaptability and quick learning skills.
Candidate with to work in collaborative team player.

Personal Attributes

Energetic, proactive, and self-motivated.
Team oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
Strong interpersonal skills
