Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is currently hiring for Programme Assistant to join their working team in Pemba, Zanzibar.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- As sellected candidate you will be required to implement and oversee daily peacebuilding activities in Pemba by working through established community structures such as girls clubs, community writers, interfaith committees.
- As sellected candidate you will be required to organize capacity building sessions as per the project plan and timeline.
- As sellected candidate you will be required to serve as a resource person so that to enhance project planning and implementation at the community level.
- As sellected candidate you will be required to integrate economic empowerment and peacebuilding components so that to create a holistic approach.
- As sellected candidate you will be required to maintain strong relationships with local government authorities and community stakeholders.
- As sellected candidate you will be required to provide ongoing support so that to target groups by ensuring long term impact and sustainability.
- As sellected candidate you will be required to contribute to the project in timely and effective way

Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate with Diploma or Bachelor degree in Community Development, Peacebuilding Studies, Inter-Cultural Relations or Social Sciences from recognized institution.
- Candidate with relevant experience in peacebuilding initiatives
- Candidate with strong writing and communication skills.
- Candidate with the ability to facilitate learning and training sessions.
- Candidate with adaptability and quick learning skills.
- Candidate with to work in collaborative team player.
Personal Attributes
- Energetic, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Team oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
