Job Opportunity: General Manager (HR)
As General Manager (HR), you will play a vital strategic role, working closely with the CEO to enhance organizational efficiency, drive cross-functional initiatives, and support our continued expansion in Africa’s dynamic logistics sector. This position will oversee HR operations across all countries where Alistair Group operates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Organizational Alignment
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all human capital matters.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with corporate goals.
- Oversee strategic initiatives across multiple business units.
- Ensure that HR policies and processes support business growth.
2. Operational Excellence
- Lead cross-functional HR projects to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Streamline communication and decision-making across all departments.
3. Strategic Project Management
- Support high-priority HR initiatives related to African logistics expansion.
- Oversee HR projects from planning to execution.
- Foster collaboration between different operational teams and regional offices.
4. Executive Support & Communication
- Prepare executive reports and presentations on HR functions.
- Act as a key liaison between senior leadership and teams.
- Represent the CEO in critical meetings and strategic discussions.
5. Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop long-term workforce planning and succession strategies.
- Foster a strong, positive workplace culture.
- Design and implement career development programs.
- Manage employee relations and ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
- Create leadership training programs to develop senior and junior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 8–12 years of leadership experience in HR or business management.
- Strong track record in managing diverse teams across multiple regions.
- Experience in corporate and entrepreneurial environments.
- In-depth understanding of African business landscapes.
- Willingness to travel within Africa as required.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 7:20 AM – 4:20 PM
- Alternate Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
