Job Opportunity: General Manager (HR)

As General Manager (HR), you will play a vital strategic role, working closely with the CEO to enhance organizational efficiency, drive cross-functional initiatives, and support our continued expansion in Africa’s dynamic logistics sector. This position will oversee HR operations across all countries where Alistair Group operates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Organizational Alignment

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all human capital matters.
Develop and implement HR strategies that align with corporate goals.
Oversee strategic initiatives across multiple business units.
Ensure that HR policies and processes support business growth.

2. Operational Excellence

Lead cross-functional HR projects to enhance efficiency.
Develop and implement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Streamline communication and decision-making across all departments.

3. Strategic Project Management

Support high-priority HR initiatives related to African logistics expansion.
Oversee HR projects from planning to execution.
Foster collaboration between different operational teams and regional offices.

4. Executive Support & Communication

Prepare executive reports and presentations on HR functions.
Act as a key liaison between senior leadership and teams.
Represent the CEO in critical meetings and strategic discussions.

5. Strategic HR Leadership

Develop long-term workforce planning and succession strategies.
Foster a strong, positive workplace culture.
Design and implement career development programs.
Manage employee relations and ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
Create leadership training programs to develop senior and junior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
MBA preferred.
8–12 years of leadership experience in HR or business management.
Strong track record in managing diverse teams across multiple regions.
Experience in corporate and entrepreneurial environments.
In-depth understanding of African business landscapes.
Willingness to travel within Africa as required.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 7:20 AM – 4:20 PM
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
