Job Overview

DP World is seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Freight Forwarding office. This role is responsible for overseeing the branch’s commercial, operational, administrative, and financial aspects. The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen, leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of customs clearance and freight forwarding operations. This position plays a crucial role in driving business growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing operations through continuous improvement. Additionally, the Branch Manager should foster a collaborative team environment and effectively mentor and coach staff.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of approximately six employees, overseeing recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Promote a positive and team-oriented workplace, encouraging accountability and professional growth.
• Efficiently delegate responsibilities to ensure optimal resource allocation and workflow management.

Operations Management

• Establish and maintain branch resources, systems, and processes for smooth operations.
• Oversee freight forwarding operations, including import/export procedures, customs clearance, documentation, logistics, and transportation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Sales and Business Development

• Develop and execute strategies to meet sales targets and support overall business growth.
• Identify new business opportunities, establish strong relationships with clients and partners, and expand the customer base.
• Collaborate with the sales team to implement marketing initiatives that boost revenue and market share.

Customer Service Excellence

• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring positive client experiences and long-term relationships.
• Conduct regular client meetings to understand evolving needs and provide tailored solutions.

Financial Management

• Manage the branch’s annual budget, monitor expenses, and ensure financial goals are met.
• Review financial reports, identify areas for cost optimization, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and reconciliation processes.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in logistics or freight forwarding are an advantage.

Experience & Skills

• 4-6 years of proven experience in a leadership role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and transportation logistics.
• In-depth knowledge of Incoterms and the ability to provide guidance to clients and business stakeholders.
