The Serengeti Ecosystem Conservation Programme (SECP) is dedicated in preserving the Serengeti rich biodiversity in Tanzania by supporting local communities and promoting sustainable tourism. At Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) we are currently hiring for Fundraising and Communications Liaison Officer to join our working team in Serengeti Mara.

As sellected candidate at Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) you will be required to build partnerships with nature based tourism businesses and promoting the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) Work.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

1. Fundraising and Partnerships

• As sellected candidate at Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) you will be required to develop and implement strategies so that to engage tourism operators in conservation fundraising.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders by securing financial support.

2. Donor and Partner Engagement

• As sellected candidate you will be required to identify the approach of new and existing tourism businesses to foster long term partnerships.
• As sellected candidate at Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) you will be required to manage donor relations by ensuring strong collaboration

3. Event and Campaign Management

• As sellected candidate you will be required to plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns in partnership with tourism operators.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to drive participation and visibility for conservation focused initiatives.

4. Communication and Outreach

• As sellected candidate you will be required to create compelling newsletters, social media content and reports.
• As sellected candidate at Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) you will be required to ensure all communication materials effectively highlight the impact of conservation efforts.

5. Representation and Advocacy

• As sellected candidate you will be required to present the programme achievements and challenges to tourism stakeholders.

6. Monitoring and Reporting

• As sellected candidate you will be required to track fundraising progress and recommend improvements.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to maintain accurate records of the fundraising activities

7. Media and Public Relations

• As sellected candidate you will be required to act as a liaison between tourism businesses and media outlets.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to ensure SECP communication aligns with brand messaging and conservation goals.

8. Cross-Team Support

• As sellected candidate you will be required to provide fundraising and communication support to other conservation programmes.

Your Qualifications & Skills

✔ Bachelor degree in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science or related. Masters degree is added advantage
✔ Minimum of 3 years of working experience in fundraising, partnership development.
✔ Strong understanding of conservation issues and sustainable tourism.
✔ Ability to engage stakeholders and develop long term partnerships.
✔ Fluent in both English and Swahili  languages
✔ Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Canva and other design tools.
