Job Opportunity: Ticketing & Reservation Agent

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Ticketing & Reservation Agent to manage ticketing, reservations, and telephone sales. This role involves providing top-notch service to Oman Air passengers and travel agents while ensuring smooth communication and support across commercial operations.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with R&T Supervisors, Sales Teams, District Sales Managers, and Country Managers to support business functions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Handle incoming calls professionally, ensuring timely and courteous assistance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with passengers and travel agents.
  • Provide information and services aligned with company policies and standards.

2. Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with airport teams to minimize customer disruptions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve business continuity concerns.

3. Administrative & Technical Support

  • Assist with sales-related activities, including:
    • Schedule changes
    • BSP refunds
    • Frequent flyer membership activation
    • EC261 support
    • Trade communication
    • Group booking support
    • Handling guest feedback

4. Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Option 1: Diploma (minimum two years) in any discipline
  • Option 2: IATA/Sabre/Galileo/Amadeus certification with a Secondary School certificate

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Essential: Fluent in English (spoken & written)
  • Preferred: Additional language proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced GDS (Global Distribution System) skills
  • Technical knowledge of airline reservation and ticketing systems
  • A general understanding of the airline industry is an advantage
