The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat/UTUMISHI (PSRS) is an independent government department which is responsible for managing the recruitment of employees into Tanzania public sector. This department was established under the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002 which was later amended by the parliamentary Act No. 18 of 2007 which defines UTUMISHI/PSRS as recruitment agency that plays a crucial role in ensuring fair and efficient hiring process in Tanzania
