Tanzania Assemblies of God(TAG) was brought up in 1981 basing on societies ordinance Act of 1954 and it was assigned registration NO SO 6246. The Church began from great revival that originated from Azisa in Califonia which is found in United States. The establishment of TAG in Tanzania was as results of return of Deer in the United States in 1938 in which he joined Assemblies of God Church thus made him to ask leadership so that to send Missionaries in Tanganyika

Mr Paul Deer was in Tanzania from 1928 under Pentecost Holiness Association (PHA) in which he started his services in early 1929 in Mbeya region, then when he came back from United States in 1939, he hard joined Assemblies of God Church. This was was remarkable as establishment of the church
