Tanzania Ports Authority is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians for twenty Sailor II positions. This role supports marine operations and maintenance work aboard port vessels and in related water-based activities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Clean the wheelhouse, accommodation areas, ank
- 08h d carry out chipping and painting on the main deck
- Assist in the upkeep of rescue boats
- Perform lookout duties while on watch
- Help in changing mooring chains and buoys
- Support manual tasks during hydrographic surveys
- Guide cargo loading and unloading operations
- Assist with rope work and lashing
- Participate in assembling new buoys and marine towers
- Carry out other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and experience
- Must have completed Form Four (CSEE)
- Possession of valid Basic Safety Mandatory Certificates from a recognized authority is required
Salary scale: TPASS 1
