Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited (ZCL), originally known as Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited, was established in early 1975. The company’s first employee joined in May of that year. ZCL was created to provide freight forwarding services to the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mining Conglomerate (ZCCM). On June 7, 1988, the company was renamed ZAMCARGO LIMITED and registered as a clearing and forwarding business.
ZCL operates a Container Freight Station (CFS) offering a secure yard for stuffing and storage of customers’ export cargo before delivery to the port. Its Mukuba Depot is conveniently located just 1 km from the port and features a large warehouse spanning 70,000 square meters. The depot is connected to the TAZARA Railway through spurs, facilitating smooth cargo movement.

Zambia Cargo and Logistics Limited also handles the discharge of imported cargo from the Port of Dar es Salaam and manages all related documentation, including customs clearance through the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).
