Job Overview
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity in the Manufacturing Department for a Water Treatment Technician. We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team in Mbeya. The selected candidate will report directly to the Packaging Team Leaders and will play a key role in ensuring water treatment processes meet both company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tests and analyze water treatment parameters to ensure compliance with TCCC (The Coca-Cola Company) and regulatory standards.
- Interpret test results and make necessary adjustments to optimize water treatment processes.
- Follow KORE (Coca-Cola’s Operational Requirements) for training, documentation, instrumentation control, maintenance, and audits.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventative maintenance and calibration of the Water Treatment Plant.
- Collaborate with external laboratories and suppliers to maintain quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in processing areas while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures as per the CIP Matrix.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Respond to test results and problem indicators by using structured problem-solving techniques such as 5WHY analysis.
- Work closely with production management, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) teams, and laboratory technicians to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Update manuals and work instructions to reflect process improvements and corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma in Water Treatment, Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Science (or a related field).
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in water treatment or manufacturing, preferably in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and water sample analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain technical records and prepare detailed reports.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance procedures.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and action-planning abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
