Role Overview
We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee inventory management and ensure smooth warehouse operations. This role involves maintaining safety standards, optimizing stock handling, and supervising loading and unloading processes to ensure timely deliveries. If you have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in warehouse management, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company and legal stacking regulations.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in warehouse operations.
- Enforce the use of correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Implement and adhere to all safety protocols, including VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) and DPO (Distribution Process Optimization).
Warehouse Management
- Maintain 5S standards for efficiency and organization.
- Ensure global policies are cascaded and followed.
- Conduct regular SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) reviews and ensure all employees are trained.
- Utilize problem-solving tools (5Why, Abnormality Reports, SIC, etc.) to drive operational improvements.
- Monitor warehouse layout compliance, including order-picking zones, empties, and refusal areas.
- Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency and productivity.
Loading and Unloading Operations
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading based on load summaries.
- Verify product quantities at both loading and unloading locations.
- Oversee proper documentation of deliveries.
Inventory Management
- Perform daily stock counts and ensure accuracy in stock records.
- Implement stock rotation principles to maintain product quality (FEFO for sales orders, LIFO for inter-depot transfers).
- Prevent blocked stock from being dispatched for deliveries.
- Monitor and reduce inventory losses and warehouse breakages.
- Coordinate closely with Inventory Analysts and Settlement Officers.
Picking & Sorting Process
- Implement standardized picking processes to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure the sorting area is well-organized to prevent bottlenecks.
- Monitor sorting performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Train warehouse employees to maintain high sorting and picking quality standards.
Cost Control
- Optimize fuel usage by minimizing idling and ensuring efficient driving habits.
- Prevent breakages and missing bottles through safe handling practices.
Reporting & Documentation
- Complete and submit pre-trip inspection forms accurately.
- Maintain accurate fuel consumption records.
- Submit all required reports, including DPO-related documentation, stock count sheets, and safety reports, on time.
People Management
- Align warehouse team goals with company objectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review performance.
- Address employee engagement survey results with actionable improvements.
- Recruit and develop warehouse talent to build a strong workforce pipeline.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans where necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
