Join Our Team as a Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Maersk is seeking a Warehouse & Distribution Manager to oversee inventory, warehouse, and fulfillment operations. This role involves planning, execution, and distribution across various types of warehouses, including bonded and non-bonded facilities, whether owned or operated by Maersk.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Financial Management

• Oversee the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the site, ensuring profitability across all products and clients.
• Manage warehousing and middle-mile transportation to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to support business growth.
• Handle contract management and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Monitor site performance, focusing on cost management and asset utilization.
• Continuously improve and optimize warehouse operations to enhance efficiency.
• Implement the Warehouse & Distribution (WND) strategy in coordination with the Operations Manager.
• Drive business expansion while ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.

Operational Excellence

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and standardize processes to enhance productivity.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) compliance at all times.
• Manage subcontractor relationships to optimize operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain security and IT protocols to safeguard warehouse operations.
• Oversee general site management, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
• Uphold governance frameworks to maintain operational integrity.

People & Leadership

• Develop a skills matrix and implement a training plan to enhance team capabilities.
• Foster a culture of strong leadership and employee engagement.
• Build and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Create a safe and inclusive workspace for all employees.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, with expertise in warehousing and distribution.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and warehouse management systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with a proven track record in customer service.
• Experience in leading high-performing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented and cost-conscious with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
