Job Summary

FINCA Tanzania is looking for a Treasury Officer to support key treasury operations, ensuring efficiency in liquidity management, fund transfers, payments processing, and regulatory reporting. This role is crucial in managing bank accounts, ensuring timely payments, and preparing financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in treasury operations, with a strong background in financial reporting, cash flow management, and banking transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Liquidity & Cash Flow Management

Prepare daily liquidity reports using the standard Central Bank template.
Support branch-level liquidity to ensure adequate cash availability.
Monitor and manage all bank accounts to ensure they remain active and well-funded.
Oversee fund transfers between FINCA bank accounts, including those held at the Central Bank.

Payments & Treasury Operations

Ensure timely and accurate processing of online payments.
Work with the Payments & Reconciliation Unit to clear outstanding unreconciled items.
Ensure all treasury deals are properly recorded and booked.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare and submit monthly reports including:
- ALCO Deposit Report
- Notes Payables Maturity Profile
- Investment Matrix
- BOT NPS Reports
- Lenders Reports
Manage accruals for interest income on investments and interest expense on borrowings.
Develop and manage payment projections (local & foreign currency) aligned with FINCA’s budget, ensuring accuracy for payments due within the next three months.
Prepare and share the company cash position reports with the Finance Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

2–4 years of experience in a treasury role.
Strong financial reporting and banking transaction management skills.

Skills Required:

Proficiency in financial reporting tools & banking systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication & computer skills.

Language:

Fluency in English (written & spoken).
