About the Role
DHL Supply Chain South Africa is looking for a Technical Specialist – Infrastructure & Service Management to join our team in Tanzania.
In this role, you will work closely with the Country ISM Lead to ensure efficient IT Infrastructure and Service Management (ISM) across operations, projects, and customer engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to implement global and regional IT infrastructure solutions, while maintaining security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
This position plays a crucial role in protecting DHL’s information assets and reputation, ensuring that service quality aligns with business objectives and contractual commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Country ISM Lead in achieving quality, budget, and timeline goals.
- Implement and monitor long-term and medium-term ISM strategies aligned with regional directives.
- Support existing and new customer implementations with ISM solutions.
- Ensure IT infrastructure and service management services meet agreed SLAs in terms of quality and cost.
- Assist in risk management and compliance with corporate policies, software licensing, and hardware asset tracking.
- Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to meet service level agreements (SLA).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT services, infrastructure, and operations per site.
- Support project implementations and ensure all work instructions, IT asset registers, and network documentation are maintained.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Matric and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications: ITIL certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in IT infrastructure, service management, or related technical roles.
- Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, or other fast-paced industries is a plus.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure (telecoms, networking, desktops, hosting).
- Familiarity with supply chain applications (WMS, TMS, integration tools) is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management abilities.
- Ability to handle incident management and service recovery efficiently.
- Results-driven with a focus on service performance and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working in a multinational environment.
Language & Travel Requirements
- English (Fluent – verbal and written)
- Travel: Less than 25%
