Tobacco Cooperative Joint Enterprises Limited (TCJE) is a registered cooperative enterprise established under the Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2013. Our mission is to facilitate the growth of the tobacco industry while supporting the economic interests of our members. Our core activities include tobacco marketing, agricultural supply management, and the overall development of affiliated secondary societies—all in alignment with cooperative principles.
As our operations expand, we are looking for qualified and skilled professionals to fill the following five (5) vacancies:
1. Assistant Accountant (1 Position – Morogoro)
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will assist in financial management and accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Review and process invoices, bills, and financial claims.
✔ Maintain proper records of financial documents pending payment.
✔ Assist in the preparation of final accounts and payroll management.
✔ Reconcile statutory contributions and staff imprests.
✔ Track expenses, process expense reports, and handle petty cash transactions.
✔ Prepare vouchers, cheques, and payments while maintaining accurate records.
✔ Ensure timely submission of statutory contributions.
✔ Maintain an updated Fixed Assets Register.
✔ Support audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
📅 Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
💻 Proficiency in accounting software & data entry.
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
2. Agricultural Extension Officer (1 Position – Morogoro)
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Agricultural Extension Officer will provide technical support and training to farmers, ensuring best practices in tobacco farming.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Offer training and advisory services to farmers.
✔ Assist in decision-making for improved agricultural production.
✔ Guide farmers on crop quality control and standard compliance.
✔ Promote efficient farming techniques and equipment use.
✔ Monitor and recommend best agricultural practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or a related field.
📅 Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
📝 Strong written and verbal communication skills (English & Kiswahili).
💻 Computer proficiency is essential.
✅ High level of integrity and professionalism.
3. Cashier (1 Position – Morogoro)
Role Overview:
The Cashier will support the finance department by handling financial transactions, record-keeping, and clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Process and record financial transactions.
✔ Prepare invoices, bank deposits, and month-end reports.
✔ Manage accounts payable and financial filing systems.
✔ Post financial data using accounting software.
✔ Ensure accuracy in reports, figures, and tax filings.
✔ Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
📅 Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
💻 Proficiency in data entry and accounting software.
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
4. Driver (2 Positions – Morogoro)
Role Overview:
The Driver will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles and ensuring their proper maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Drive and maintain company vehicles.
✔ Ensure regular servicing and cleanliness of vehicles.
✔ Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any faults.
✔ Maintain an accurate vehicle logbook.
✔ Ensure vehicle security at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Certificate of Secondary Education.
🚗 Valid driving license (VIP class preferred).
📅 Minimum 2 years of driving experience in a reputable institution.
📢 Good communication skills in English & Kiswahili.
