Position: Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Tax Compliance & Filing: Prepare and file tax returns with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and ensure timely tax payments.
✔ Account Reconciliation: Ensure all General Ledger (GL) reconciliations related to tax accounts are accurate and up to date.
✔ Liaison with Authorities & Consultants: Communicate with TRA and tax consultants as needed.
✔ Tax Audits: Assist tax auditors during tax audits and assessments.
✔ Regulatory Updates: Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
✔ Tax Record Management: Maintain accurate records of company tax assets, liabilities, and outstanding tax matters.
✔ Tax Queries & Support: Respond to TRA, customer, and supplier tax-related queries.
✔ Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team to ensure customs and clearing charges comply with regulations.
✔ Tax Planning & Budgeting: Prepare annual tax calculations for year-end and budget planning.
✔ Internal Training: Conduct employee training on tax matters to enhance compliance across the organization.

✔ Experience: At least four (4) years of work experience in Accounting and Taxation.
