Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL) is the largest producer of sugar in Tanzania, committed to agricultural excellence and sustainable farming practices. We are currently seeking a Surveyor (Agriculture) to join our team and contribute to optimizing agricultural performance.
Job Purpose
As a Surveyor (Agriculture), you will play a crucial role in infrastructure planning, development, and maintenance to enhance agricultural efficiency. You will also implement best practices guided by the Group Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Agricultural Optimization teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Surveying & Infrastructure Management
✔ Oversee and maintain surveying services for roads, drainage systems, and mechanized field activities such as leveling.
✔ Design field layouts, roads, dams, drains, and bridges according to recognized industry standards.
✔ Ensure all surveying equipment, hardware, software, and mapping systems are well-maintained and operational.
2. Performance & Quality Optimization
✔ Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
✔ Conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality infrastructure development.
✔ Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and address performance gaps.
3. Team Leadership & Training
✔ Manage and guide the surveying team to achieve efficiency and accuracy.
✔ Conduct on-the-job training and identify additional training needs.
✔ Monitor individual and team performance against set targets.
4. Compliance & Best Practices
✔ Adhere to company policies related to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ), Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
✔ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and responsible agricultural practices.

Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Agricultural Engineering, Land Management, or a related field.
📌 Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in surveying on large irrigated estates.
- Strong agriculture data analysis skills.
- Expertise in Agricultural Mapping, GIS software, and RTK/GPS leveling systems.
- Familiarity with advanced surveying techniques such as OptiSurface and LIDAR.
