Sous Chef Job at Ramada Resort 

At Ramada Resort and Hotel we are currently looking for suitable candidate in a position of Sous Chef to join our working team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As a Sellected candidate you will work closely with the Head Chef by ensuring the seamless kitchen operations by producing high quality of food standard.

POSITION: Sous Chef 

Job Type: Full-time

Job Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Kitchen Team Leadership

  • You will be required to Supervise, train and motivate kitchen staff at Ramada Resort so that to maintain consistency and efficiency.
  • You will be Assigning tasks and overseeing workflow in ensuring smooth operations.

2. Menu Development

  • You will be required  to Collaborate with the Head Chef in creating innovative dishes and refining menus.
  • You will adjusting recipes based on guest feedback and seasonal ingredients.

3. Food Preparation and Cooking

  • You will need to oversee food preparation and cooking processes so that to ensure high quality meals.
  • You will be required to provide an healp during cooking hours

4. Quality Assurance

  • As Sellected candidate at Ramada Resort you will need to Maintain food quality, taste and good presentation standards.
  • You will be required to conducting regular quality checks throughout service hours.

5. Inventory and Stock Management

  • Monitoring of ingredient levels and assisting in placing orders.
  • Ensuring proper storage so that to maintain freshness and minimize waste.

6. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Upholding of strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in the kitchen.
  • Ensuring food handling and preparation  adhere to health and safety standards

7. Staff Scheduling and Management

  • Assisting in creating staff schedules so that to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Addressing any staffing concerns while maintaining an efficient team structure.

8. Cross Team Collaboration

  • Working closely with the front house team so that to ensure excellent service.
  • Maintaining clear communication between kitchen staff and service staff.

Qualifications  

  • Experience: Three to five years in food and beverage management within the hospitality industry.
  • Culinary Expertise: Knowledge in Various cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen management.
  • Leadership Skills: Good in training, managing and inspiring others.
  • Attention to Detail: Candidate with exceptional food presentation and quality control.
  • Time Management: Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • Inventory Control: Knowledge of stock management including cost control.
  • Food Safety: Understanding of hygiene, sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Communication Skills: Candidate with strong interpersonal and communication skills
