Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic SME Banker to manage and grow a portfolio of Business Banking – Enterprise clients. In this role, you will build long-term relationships, provide expert financial guidance, and support business growth while ensuring risk management and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management & Sales

  • Conduct annual reviews of customer borrowing facilities and reassess as needed.
  • Grow the SME portfolio through new client acquisition and cross-selling.
  • Offer financial and credit advice tailored to business needs.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and ensure a seamless banking experience.
  • Identify and promote banking products that best fit customer needs.
  • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies to attract new business.

2. Business Development & Risk Management

  • Research and identify potential SME clients using customer prioritization tools.
  • Gather and analyze client financial data for credit assessment and approval.
  • Monitor loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with risk management policies.
  • Manage early warning indicators to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, policies, and service standards.

3. Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate SME banking services within the branch to ensure efficiency.
  • Act as a crisis coordinator, ensuring business continuity during major incidents.
  • Keep up with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with financial industry standards.
  • Complete all mandatory training and continuously enhance banking expertise.

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of financial trends, lending policies, and market competition.
  • Digital Banking Awareness: Comfortable using modern banking tools and digital platforms.
