GSE Senior Technician – dnata (March 2025)

dnata is looking for a skilled GSE Senior Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), forklifts, and Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) at the airport. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment issues while ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and servicing of GSE, forklifts, airport buses, and PBBs to ensure optimal functionality.
• Prioritize and manage preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance assignments while addressing urgent repair needs as they arise.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PBBs, electrical control systems, engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and air-conditioning units in airport equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers regarding the installation and modification of electrical control systems.
• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance in line with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications as directed by the GSE Supervisor or Manager.
• Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment for effective troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain accurate records by completing daily work logs and work order paperwork for all tasks performed.
• Monitor and control GSE spare parts inventory to ensure availability and efficient usage.
• Read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and technical instructions for effective problem resolution.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and calls as needed.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow safety and security protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
• Report any hazards, injuries, or near-miss incidents to supervisors immediately.
• Actively contribute to a safe working environment by complying with health and safety regulations.
• Cooperate with the employer on any workplace safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians to achieve maintenance goals efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in GSE maintenance and repair, including troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in airport equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment for maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
