Job Title: Senior Specialist – Enterprise Architect

Job Purpose
NMB Bank is seeking experienced Enterprise Architects to lead the development and implementation of technical solutions that align with business needs. The selected candidates will play a pivotal role in defining architectural strategies, ensuring system requirements are met, and driving successful solution deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of both existing and emerging banking products and technological solutions.
- Define and document clear technical system requirements for all products and solutions.
- Oversee and approve solution designs and architectures to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Review, interpret, and respond to detailed business requirement specifications to bridge customer expectations and ICT capabilities.
- Provide accurate development effort estimates to support project managers in planning and resource allocation.
- Conduct technical impact analyses for proposed system changes and new application designs.
- Ensure quality assurance by verifying that internal and external developers implement solutions in line with approved technical designs.
- Develop comprehensive system specifications, mapping business requirements to optimal system solutions.
- Identify and document application issues and areas for improvement, collaborating with the IT team to optimize processes.
- Validate solutions by conducting tests in collaboration with the Innovation Lab and product owners.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all implemented products and solutions.
- Apply Agile methodologies, including preparing Scrum artifacts such as product backlog, sprint backlog, and increments.
- Update and present sprint documents regularly to keep the Scrum team and management informed.
- Improve communication and transparency within the team by coordinating internal and external updates.
- Oversee and coordinate efforts across multiple Scrum teams for smooth solution implementation.
- Organize system administration training and hand over system operations to relevant support teams.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and reconciliation processes in collaboration with product owners, the Innovation Lab, and Customer Experience teams.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Advanced expertise in software development practices (Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
- Strong knowledge of technology stacks, including programming languages, UI frameworks, databases (SQL, NoSQL, Master Data Management), deployment pipelines, containers, and messaging platforms.
- Proficiency in enterprise integrations and related architectural patterns.
- Expertise in API lifecycle management and service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to apply design patterns to complex and dynamic environments.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.
- Ability to create prototypes to guide development teams.
- Excellent planning, organization, and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels.
- Leadership capabilities to manage structures, processes, and standards effectively.
- Business analysis skills to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- TOGAF or ArchiMate certification (preferred).
- Professional Scrum/Agile or project management certification (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in software development, enterprise architecture, system analysis, or Scrum leadership.
- Experience in IT projects within the banking/finance industry (an advantage).
- Proven experience leading technical teams in at least five projects of varying complexity.
