Position: Senior Reporter
MCL is seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Reporter to join our newsroom. This role involves covering news stories, conducting interviews, and writing insightful reports that align with our editorial policies and journalistic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, report, and write news and feature articles, ensuring accuracy, depth, and public interest value.
- Cover assignments proactively while also identifying and developing original story ideas.
- Conduct interviews, verify facts, and compile well-structured stories with minimal need for rewrites.
- Provide detailed background research to enhance the credibility of reports.
- Maintain strong relationships with news sources and consistently generate exclusive reports.
- Respond quickly to breaking news and ensure factual accuracy in all published content.
- Collaborate with photographers to ensure relevant visuals accompany news pieces.
- Meet strict deadlines while upholding high editorial standards and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 4-5 years of hands-on experience in journalism, preferably in a newsroom setting.
