World Bank Group is currently hiring for Senior Mining Specialist to join our working team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As Sellected candidate you will be required to shape sustainable mining practices so that to transform natural wealth into inclusive and climate-resilient
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading technical and policy support on mining projects and reforms
- Guiding national strategies for mineral governance and sustainable practices.
- Working closely with global teams and stakeholders
- Driving innovations in climate-smart mining and resilient mineral supply chains.
- Mentoring junior professionals to contribute to World Bank knowledge and strategic development

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in mining, geology, mineral economics or related
- Eight years of working experience in mining development preferably in Africa
- Knowledge of sector governance and environmental social standards
- Experience with mining investments, stakeholder engagement
- Good communication skills
