Senior Internal Auditor at GSM – February 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement audit objectives, logistics, schedules, and scope.
• Identify and assess critical business risks.
• Prepare and present detailed audit findings and recommendations to management.
• Establish and maintain effective internal audit procedures and methodologies.
• Evaluate internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements.
• Design and assess internal controls and operational practices.
• Provide practical solutions to challenges in business and financial operations.
• Develop audit schedules and plans for the internal audit team.
• Lead, mentor, and guide audit staff, ensuring efficiency and professionalism.
• Review and refine audit programs to achieve organizational goals.
• Establish effective auditing techniques, practices, and benchmarks.
• Oversee and assess the work of audit staff, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal systems.
• Analyze audit findings and implement corrective measures to enhance financial operations.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings and recommended corrective actions for top management.
• Track and monitor follow-up actions to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Ensure all audit operations align with company standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with management to develop actionable plans and track progress.
• Assist in investigating suspected fraudulent activities and recommend appropriate actions.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations, laws, and best practices to ensure company compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing, risk management, or internal controls.
