Currently, Silverleaf Academy operates one campus in Usa River, serving approximately 600 students from pre-primary to Standard 7. By January 2025, we aim to expand our enrollment to over 1,000 students.
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven School Principal to lead Silverleaf Academy’s Usa River campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving academic excellence, fostering a strong school culture, managing operations efficiently, and ensuring sustainable growth. This role requires a visionary leader who can balance educational leadership with operational and business management to make Silverleaf the top-performing school in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. School Culture & Team Development
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that aligns with Silverleaf’s mission and values.
- Develop and implement an annual culture strategy to ensure staff engagement and motivation.
- Lead professional development programs to enhance teaching quality and staff growth.
- Conduct regular classroom observations, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
- Promote a feedback-driven environment where staff are encouraged to improve and innovate.
2. Student Experience & Academic Performance
- Oversee curriculum implementation, ensuring high academic standards.
- Set and track academic performance goals for each grade level.
- Analyze student assessment data to identify areas for improvement and intervention.
- Ensure classrooms are well-resourced and optimized for effective learning.
- Lead initiatives to support student development, including leadership programs, mentorship, and extracurricular activities.
- Uphold and enforce child protection and wellness policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers to enhance behavior management strategies using tools like Class Dojo.
3. School Operations & Financial Sustainability
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth day-to-day school functions.
- Drive student enrollment and retention through strategic marketing and engagement.
- Manage school finances, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets.
- Oversee procurement planning and resource allocation to support school operations.
4. Community Engagement & Parent Relations
- Develop and implement a strong parent engagement strategy.
- Organize quarterly parent workshops on child development and learning support.
- Establish parent advisory committees to gather feedback and enhance school initiatives.
- Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and government bodies to build partnerships.
- Strengthen ties with community leaders and stakeholders to support school growth.
5. Compliance & Legal Requirements
- Ensure the school complies with all regulatory and legal obligations.
- Maintain updated registrations and licenses with education authorities.
- Lead staff training on health, safety, and child protection policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for school activities.
