Job Overview

At Watu Africa/Credit we are currently hiring for  Sales Representative to join our working environment in Mwanza, Tanzania. As a Selected candidate for this position, your work will be between the company and customers through which you will be driving sales by promoting the company’s products and services. You will be required to identify key potential customers and maintain strong relationships with existing clients by ensuring a smooth sales process.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Growth and Revenue Increase

  • Driving sales at Watu Africa by converting cash customers into credit buyers.
  • Boosting revenue by increasing retail sales within the stores.

Route and Client Management

  • Ensuring proper route management for effective sales coverage.
  • Handling an average of 60 to 70 store dealers per month to meet sales targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, dealers and store owners.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis

  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies and promotions.
  • Providing valuable insights to the management team to stay ahead of the competition.

Training and Support

  • Collaborating with trainers at Watu Africa in the implementation of refresher courses for store teams.
  • Reporting and Performance Tracking
  • Tracking and reporting store performance and key sales indicators.
  • Monitoring of stock levels and in-store pricing.
  • Ensures timely reporting of stock shortages and customer feedback.

In-Store Display and  Branding

  • Maximizing product visibility in retail stores.
  • Negotiating for the premium shelf space and ensuring effective placement of promotional materials.
  • Maintaining clean, attractive and customer-friendly product displays.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of working experience in sales and marketing preferably in a technology
    Skills:
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Goal-oriented Candidate with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages For example Word, Excel and Google Suite
  • Experience with CRM and business relationship management (BRM) systems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional business relationships.
