Job Description:
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is looking for a dynamic and skilled Sales Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team in Dar es Salaam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sales & Marketing and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a diverse sales team, and fostering key client relationships. The Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director and will play a vital role in the company’s ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sales Manager, you will oversee the sales team, ensuring superior sales execution and performance throughout the region. You will also be accountable for the region’s profit and loss and will manage key aspects of our sales strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating the sales force to achieve top performance across the region.
- Driving profit and performance in line with strategic plans.
- Owning and managing regional profit and loss.
- Monitoring sales and marketing performance, providing coaching and guidance to improve results.
- Implementing and optimizing sales force effectiveness and automation tools.
- Rolling out customer segmentation and utilizing related toolkits.
- Managing the Right Execution Daily (RED) systems and tracking contractor service levels.
- Overseeing sales resource planning, merchandising, and Point of Sale (POS) management.
- Coordinating with the Supply Chain to manage cold drink equipment placement.
- Collaborating with the People & Culture team to ensure appropriate sales force compensation.
- Managing third-party distributors effectively.
- Developing action plans to address performance gaps and executing channel-specific strategies.
- Implementing promotional programs and ensuring asset care and demand planning.
- Managing key projects and upholding execution standards across all channels.
- Providing input to demand planning and conducting business reviews with customers.
- Engaging in trade visits with customer store personnel.
- Maximizing revenue growth through strategic management of customer packs and margins.
- Using market research to create targeted programs and collect valuable customer feedback.
- Building strong customer relationships by identifying growth opportunities and managing promotions.
- Participating in company events and charity activities to strengthen customer ties.
- Monitoring sales targets and adjusting strategies to ensure targets are met.
- Allocating resources (e.g., POS materials, coolers) for optimal returns.
- Responding to competitor activities and implementing local and national promotions.

Skills, Experience & Education:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, and revenue growth management, particularly in the FMCG sector.
- A proven track record of success in Sales roles focused on building team capability.
- Experience working across multiple regions will be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Strong analytical skills and deep product and industry knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and presentation skills.
- A customer-centric approach with strong negotiation and revenue management expertise.
- A strategic mindset with insights into the industry and competitors.
