Job Overview

As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of key and potential customers. Your role involves driving sales of liabilities, acquisitions, cash management, credit cards, and retail products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing revenue through strategic sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with an assigned portfolio of customers, becoming their primary banking contact.
  • Drive growth in CASA, Fixed Deposits (FD), and Assets by managing existing client portfolios and acquiring new customers as per set targets.
  • Achieve fee income goals through cross-selling financial products and services to existing clients.
  • Offer personalized and consultative banking services, helping customers make informed financial decisions.
  • Identify and seize cross-selling opportunities within the customer portfolio.
  • Maintain a detailed sales and customer management database for performance analysis and strategic improvements.
  • Collaborate with branch managers to identify key opportunities and provide expert financial solutions.
  • Leverage client referrals to acquire new customers and expand the portfolio.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Exim Bank’s products and services to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Prepare position reports for the Branch Manager, ensuring transparency in client management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Marketing.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within banking or financial services.
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in customer relationship management (preferred).
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of retail banking products, including liabilities, acquisitions, cash management, and credit cards.
    • Proven ability to assess customer needs and recommend suitable financial products.
    • Sales-driven mindset with strong negotiation and client management skills.
    • Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining high efficiency.
    • High energy, ambition, and a proactive approach to business growth.
    • Computer proficiency and understanding of evolving banking technology.
    • Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, and project financing is a plus.
