We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Radio and TV Technician.
Position: Radio and TV Technician (1 Post)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have completed Ordinary Secondary Education.
- Must hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Telecommunication from a recognized higher learning institution. (A First-Class or Upper Second-Class degree with a GPA of 3.5 or above is required.)
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience working in Television or Radio.
Key Responsibilities
As a Radio and TV Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining electronic equipment used for radio and television broadcasts.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing audio/visual and control systems.
- Setting up and maintaining radio towers, antennas, cables, insulators, and switches.
- Installing and repairing telephone equipment, including transmitters, receivers, and switching devices.
- Installing and maintaining computer hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.
- Handling electronic wiring and cabling required for equipment installation and repairs.

General Requirements for Academic Positions
All candidates applying for academic positions must possess the following attributes:
- Ability to design, administer, and supervise assessments.
- Capability to oversee field practice, undergraduate/postgraduate research, and projects.
- Strong ability to mark scripts, assess coursework, and provide feedback.
- Competence in conducting research, community engagement, and consultancy projects.
- Proficiency in preparing teaching materials and conducting lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge development.
Terms of Employment
- The selected candidate will be employed on a three-year renewable contract.
- Confirmation of employment will be based on satisfactory performance during the first year of probation.
