Quality Assurance Tester (3 Positions) – March 2025

Job Purpose:

We are seeking skilled Quality Assurance Testers to join our team and ensure the reliability, security, and user-friendliness of our software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting thorough testing procedures to identify defects, verify fixes, and contribute to continuous software improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality software that meets user expectations and business needs.
• Act as a quality guardian by verifying software reliability, security, and usability.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify project requirements and objectives.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies covering functional and non-functional aspects.
• Design and document detailed test cases and scenarios for different testing phases.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms.
• Utilize both manual and automated testing methods to ensure full test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using established bug-tracking systems.
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues and perform regression testing after fixes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scripts and setting acceptance criteria.
• Gather and incorporate user feedback to refine testing processes.
• Conduct pilot testing to validate new features and updates in real-world scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry testing standards.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools and recommend improvements.
• Prioritize critical projects based on supervisor recommendations to ensure optimal performance.
• Work in collaboration with developers, business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Communicate test results effectively and participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Monitor production systems for issues and support UAT activities.
• Analyze user feedback and reports for further enhancements.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with different testing types, including functional, performance, security, and usability testing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using bug-tracking and test management tools.
• Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit) is an advantage.
• Basic programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Additional certifications in testing tools or methodologies are a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the financial sector.
• Experience testing web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Knowledge of business analysis and system design.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Exposure to performance and security testing is a plus.
