Key Responsibilities

✔ Container Handling: Operate the Quay Crane to load and discharge containers safely and efficiently.
✔ Safety Compliance: Maintain strict safety and discipline in the work area, following all established protocols.
✔ Team Coordination: Work closely with the Hatch Man, Vessel Tally Clerk, and Lashing Crew, responding to signals and instructions.
✔ Damage Inspection: Check for equipment defects or damages and report them immediately to prevent further issues.
✔ Crane Navigation: Ensure that the boom is clear of obstructions such as ship masts, radars, and antennas when operating the crane.
✔ Operational Security: Secure the cabin position in the back-reach before moving the crane and check for potential obstacles on the crane railways.
✔ Incident Reporting: Notify the Hatch Man of any vessel damage observed.
✔ Weather Precautions: Follow storm and bad weather procedures to ensure safety during adverse conditions.
✔ Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cabin and window cleaning from inside.
✔ Operational Shutdown: After completing operations, ensure the boom is lifted, crane is shut down, and properly anchored.
✔ Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) regulations, reporting any hazardous conditions or incidents immediately.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certification:

✔ Quay Crane Operating Certificate from Bandari College
✔ Valid QC Operating License from Bandari College

Experience & Skills:

✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in terminal operations in a similar role.
✔ Hands-on experience in operating Quay Cranes.
✔ Comprehensive understanding of terminal operations and heavy equipment handling.
✔ Full proficiency in safety procedures related to crane operation and cargo handling.
