Role Overview: Project Superintendent
As the Project Superintendent, you will oversee site operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of mining activities. Your role will cover:
✅ Drill and Blast Operations
✅ Load & Haul Management
✅ Crusher Feed Supervision
✅ Haul Road Maintenance
✅ Site Civil Works
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, managing costs, optimizing fleet usage, and delivering high-performance project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
✔ Supervise and mentor operational leaders to ensure high-performing teams.
✔ Align team performance with business objectives and safety standards.
2. Operational Planning & Execution
✔ Plan, allocate, and manage resources to meet production, safety, and cost targets.
✔ Provide technical support and ensure daily operations align with FEMA’s safety and efficiency protocols.
3. Workforce Training & Development
✔ Oversee training programs to enhance workforce skills and compliance with industry standards.
✔ Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
✔ Ensure strict adherence to FEMA’s safety, health, environmental, and quality policies.
✔ Foster a proactive safety culture across all project operations.
5. Stakeholder & Client Engagement
✔ Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.
✔ Ensure alignment between project execution and client expectations.
6. Financial & Contract Management
✔ Oversee cost control, operational budgets, and contractual obligations.
✔ Identify areas for cost efficiency and value optimization.
7. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
✔ Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable business improvements.
✔ Effectively manage change processes within the project.
What You Need to Succeed
🔹 Experience: Minimum 10 years in open-pit mining production supervision.
🔹 Project Management: Strong experience in commercial and project administration.
🔹 Leadership Skills: Ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
🔹 Safety & Compliance: Commitment to FEMA’s health, safety, and environmental policies.
🔹 Stakeholder Relations: Strong communication and relationship management skills.
🔹 Contract Mining Expertise: Experience in contract-based mining operations.
