About Trees for the Future (TREES)

At Trees for the Future (TREES), we believe that farmers hold the key to transforming the world. For over 30 years, we have been at the forefront of agroforestry training, helping farming communities build sustainable food systems, restore ecosystems, and boost local economies.

Through our Forest Garden Approach, we provide farmers with the tools and knowledge they need to rehabilitate degraded land, plant thousands of trees, and cultivate diverse crops, breaking the cycle of climate change and poverty.

Active in Kenya, Mali, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda, we have planted over 350 million trees and continue to empower farmers and communities.

In Tanzania, we currently work with over 8,000 farmers across Singida, Tabora, Mwanza, and Simiyu, supported by a team of 60 staff members. Our goal for 2025 is to plant 8 million trees, helping restore the land, protect biodiversity, and strengthen food security.
