At SolidarMed Tanzania we are currently looking for suitable candidate in the position of Project Manager with a background in Project Management and Public Health or Project Management and Medical Sciences to Join our working team in Morogoro, Tanzania.

About the Project

The Primary Health Care (PHC) Project in Tanzania focuses on delivering various healthcare services which are hard to reach the communities especially in Malinyi District, Morogoro. Through mobile clinics and outreach activities we have combined efforts that improve facility based healthcare which ensures a continuum of care for underserved populations.

As the a Sellected Project Manager in this position you will work by playing key role in the provision of technical leadership, strategic oversight and project execution. As a sellected candidate you will  work closely with local communities, health facility teams and government health authorities in the process of drivimg impactful change.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Project Implementation and Leadership

• As sellected candidate you will lead and oversee project execution while ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• As sellected candidate you will develop and track work plans, budgets and reports.
• As sellected candidate you will maintain and validate all project related to legal documents.
• As sellected candidate you will enhance project scope based on community needs.
• As sellected candidate you will drive evidence based improvements so that to expand and develop the second project phase.

2. Team Management and Administration

• As sellected candidate you will lead, mentor and supervise the project team in Malinyi.
• As sellected candidate you will oversee human resources, recruitment and staff development.
• As sellected candidate you will ensure efficient financial and resource management.

3. Monitoring, Research and Reporting

• As sellected candidate at SolidarMed you will oversee data collection and analysis for project monitoring and decision making.
• As sellected candidate at SolidarMed you will conduct operational research, evaluations and contribute to the scientific publications.
• As sellected candidate you will prepare and submit high quality project reports to the donors and authorities in time

4. Partnership and Policy Engagement

• As sellected candidate you will engage with key stakeholders, authorities and local communities in the project planning.
• As sellected candidate you will build and strengthen new partnerships, networks and participate in policy dialogues.
• As sellected candidate you will enhance SolidarMed visibility by representing the organization in the relevant forums.

Who We Are Looking For

To qualify in this position you need to have the following qualifications:

✅ Academic Background: Candidate with qualification as Physician (MD) or Public Health Expert (MPH) with at least five years of working experience in project management.
✅ Project and Financial Management Skills: Candidate with proven knowledge in handling staffing, budgets and multi-donor cost allocations
✅ Technical Proficiency:  Candidate with knowledge of project management digital tools.
✅ Strong Communication and Leadership: Candidate with the ability to negotiate effectively and managing of multiple complex processes.
✅ Strategic Thinker: Candidate with experience in planning and critical thinking in decision making.
✅ Adaptability and Teamwork: Candidate who is creative and open minded
✅ Research  and Knowledge Sharing: Candidate with experience in scientific exchange and networking 
✅ Language Skills: Candidate who is Fluent in English Language both written and spoken
