Job Title: Project Director
At PATH we are currently hiring a Project Director to join our working environment in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As Selected candidate, you will be required to work in accelerating access to the essential tools that are used in eliminating vertical transmission of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis
Role Overview:
As selected Project Director at PATH you will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading the project team at PATH by managing both technical and operational aspects in planning and execution.
- Providing technical guidance to shape program activities and work plans.
- Ensuring you work with all project partners in fostering strong communication and collaboration.
- Ensuring efficient use of project resources by ensuring adherence to the budgets, timelines and donor policies.
- Directing and coordinating activities to achieve project goals within the designated timeframe and budget.
- Mentoring and supporting project staff in enhancing leadership capabilities and overall performance.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s or degree, PhD or MD in public health or related
- 10 years of working experience in international health programs with 5 years of experience in a management position
- 8 years of experience in areas such as HIV, syphilis and viral hepatitis prevention, diagnostics and treatment
Strong networking and collaboration skills. - Proven ability to engage and manage multi-partner collaborations.
- Excellent project and personnel management abilities.
- Experience with UNITAID programs
