About Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO)

Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO) is a national non governmental organization (NGO) that is dedicated in promoting education and community development across Tanzania. The organisation was brought up in the 1990s in a close partnership between Tanzanian FDCs and Swedish Folk High Schools so that to drive positive social change by enhancing education.

Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO) works with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) and other key stakeholders in Zanzibar so that to address youth dropout rates and increase access to vocational education.

About the Role: Program Coordinator Intern

At Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO) we are Hiring For  Program Coordinator Intern to join our working team in Zanzibar, Tanzania. As Sellected  candidate in this position you will provide a valuable opportunity by working together with project coordinators, stakeholders and community development officers in organizing activities, tracking project outcomes and ensuring smooth program operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Support:

  • You will be required to assist in planning, implementing and monitoring KTO projects.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to organizing meetings, workshops and arranging oftraining sessions for project stakeholders.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to provide support support and collaborate with Folk Development Colleges including  other partner organizations.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • As sellected candidate you will be required to assist in collecting and documenting project data, outcomes and challenges.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to contribute to the progress reports, presentations and updates for donors and stakeholders.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to provide support to tracking program indicators

Administrative and Logistical Support:

  • As sellected candidate you will be required to coordinate in the preparation of materials and logistics.

Visibility and Communication:

  • As sellected candidate at Karibu tanzaniayou will be required to assist in managing social media and communication efforts so that to enhance program outreach.
  • As sellected candidate at Karibu Tanzania you will be required to provide support in content creation such as articles and newsletters

Who Can Apply?

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Candidate Diploma in Adult or Bachelor degree in Education, Community Development, International Relations, International Development, Political Science or related.
  • Passion for Education and Community Development: Strong interest in folk and adult education, vocational training and social change.
  • Flexibility and Initiative: Willingness to travel, engage in fieldwork and taking initiative in program activities.
