Work Schedule: 42 Days On / 21 Days Off
Reports To: Procurement Superintendent

Role Overview
As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and optimizing procurement processes. You will work closely with suppliers, handle contract documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure procurement operations comply with government regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Convert stock and non-stock requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) efficiently and with minimal risk.
- Expedite orders and ensure timely delivery from suppliers within agreed lead times.
- Process and release approved POs to suppliers in a timely manner.
- Track supplier performance and manage any non-conformances or discrepancies in delivery.
- Prepare procurement reports, correspondence, and presentations.
- Maintain active communication with suppliers and internal teams for order status updates.
- Ensure compliance with Shanta Gold’s occupational health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Law (LLB), Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in mining or construction industries is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
