Job Opportunity: Full-Time Procurement Officer at Dangote Cement 

Job Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating purchasing activities with various departments so that to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Achieving annual savings by optimizing material purchases.
• Conducting financial analyses including total cost evaluations.
• Identifying and assessing potential suppliers through providing recommendations to the procurement team.
• Processing and monitoring purchase requests so that to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensuring timely procurement of products at Dangote  Cement that meet specifications at competitive prices.
• Negotiating with vendors so that to establish long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
• Developing and implementing competitive retail and pricing strategies.
• Preparing budgets and forecast purchasing trends.
• Analyzing product performance while generating reports based on key statistics.
• Performing other duties at Dangote Cement as assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Academic and Professional Background:

• Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Procurement or related
• Candidate registered by PSPTB is added advantage.

Working Experience:

• Minimum of two years of working experience in procurement or related
• Experience in merchandising or the retail industry is added advantage

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook and SAP.
• Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented candidate
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability in building long-term supplier relationships.
• Ability to multitask and able to work efficiently and under pressure.
• Fluency in English language with strong communication skills.
