Role Overview

As a PR & Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing media relations and corporate communications within the External Affairs function, including the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation. You will be responsible for creating engaging content, coordinating media interactions, and supporting external communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage audio-visual content to position Vodacom as a purpose-driven organization.
• Support media relations by preparing communication materials and coordinating media engagements.
• Assist in the execution of external communication strategies for the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation.
• Manage the corporate social media calendar, including Vodacom Digital Accelerator and Future Ready Summit.
• Monitor media coverage and compile press reports on key projects and campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills Required

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Advanced planning and time management skills.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• A proactive and innovative mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
