Position Overview
Reporting to: Team Lead
Location: Dar es Salaam
Role Type: Permanent
As a Make & Pack Operator, you will be responsible for operating cigarette-making and/or packing machines in alignment with Integrated Work System (IWS) principles. You will ensure compliance with 5S3R and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards while meeting daily production targets and maintaining high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct effective shift handovers with outgoing and incoming operators to ensure seamless communication and continuity of production.
- Perform planned stop activities (CILs, Stop CLs, DH, MP&S tasks) as per established standards and contribute to process improvements.
- Verify materials supplied against the Production Order Form, ensuring accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Operate machinery following OEM operating manuals and approved safety and quality standards to meet production targets.
- Conduct routine quality checks during operations in compliance with the Quality Plan and established guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of workplace safety hazards, implement required control measures, and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role within a multinational company.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in English and Swahili.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and SAP.
- Familiarity with the FMCG industry is an added advantage.
