The Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) is seeking four (4) Occupational Hygiene Inspectors II to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring workplace safety by conducting inspections, assessing occupational hygiene conditions, and providing recommendations to enhance workplace health standards. Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Hygiene Inspector II, your primary duties will include:

  • Developing articles, manuals, and educational materials on Occupational Hygiene and Ergonomics safety.
  • Contributing to the development of business plans, strategic policies, and regulations related to workplace safety.
  • Conducting general workplace inspections to assess compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Performing specialized inspections on Occupational Hygiene and Ergonomics, identifying risks, and recommending solutions.
  • Measuring various work environment factors, including:
    • Thermal stress, noise, air quality, dust, fumes, gases, vapors, radiation, and ventilation efficiency.
  • Organizing and delivering training programs on Occupational Hygiene and Ergonomics for workers and management.
  • Operating and maintaining environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Conducting research and surveys on workplace safety and Occupational Hygiene.
  • Evaluating workplace hazards and recommending preventive and corrective measures.
  • Assisting the Public Relations Office with workplace safety information for the media, government agencies, workers, and employers.
  • Analyzing data collected from workplace investigations and suggesting appropriate control measures.
  • Conducting follow-up inspections to ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Reviewing workplace documentation and staying updated on occupational safety literature.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
    • Environmental Health Sciences
    • Industrial Hygiene
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Occupational and Environmental Health
  • A strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and occupational health standards.
  • Analytical skills to assess workplace hazards and recommend solutions.
  • The ability to operate environmental monitoring equipment.
