About the Internship
Jhpiego’s Internship Program (JIP) is designed to provide hands-on experience to young professionals, equipping them with the skills needed to transition into professional roles. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical knowledge in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) while contributing to a meaningful health program.
Selected interns will support M&E activities for the early breast cancer detection program in project-supported regions, working alongside experienced professionals and government counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
As a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern, you will:
✔ Collaborate with the M&E team, Technical Officers, and government partners to plan and execute M&E activities for the early detection of breast cancer.
✔ Assist in data collection, entry, cleaning, and management, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
✔ Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
✔ Assist in the implementation of M&E frameworks and methodologies to assess program impact.
✔ Provide on-site support at health facilities and outreach locations to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
✔ Analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for program improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.
📊 Basic knowledge of M&E, data collection, and data management within the health sector.
💡 Familiarity with health programs, particularly in breast cancer or non-communicable diseases, is an advantage.
💻 Proficiency in data management software (e.g., MS Excel, DHIS2, KoboToolbox, Power BI).
📈 Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to ensure data quality and identify trends.
📢 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with health facility staff and stakeholders.
🗂 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
🚗 Willingness to travel to health facilities and outreach sites within the project region.
