Role Overview

As a Mechanic – HME, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME). Your responsibilities will include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep operations running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic mining environment and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
✅ Conduct inspections to identify faults and ensure timely repairs
✅ Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, providing effective solutions
✅ Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance
✅ Monitor and manage HME performance to achieve production goals
✅ Ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental standards
✅ Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and safety procedures
✅ Assist in sourcing and procuring spare parts and maintenance equipment
✅ Provide technical support and training to team members
✅ Contribute to workshop organization, safety, and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

✔ Education & Certification:

Technical Certificate, FTC, Diploma, or Trade Test Grade I, II, III in Mechanical or a related field

✔ Experience & Skills:

6+ years of experience in HME maintenance, preferably in a mining environment
Strong technical knowledge of heavy mobile equipment repairs and maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems effectively
Familiarity with safety regulations and risk management in mining operations
Valid driver’s license (if required)
