Logistics Supervisor
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to oversee and optimize the logistics and distribution of products. This role requires minimal supervision and ensures the implementation of best practices for efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in selecting carriers and suppliers while maintaining accurate documentation and service level agreements.
- Coordinate with clearing agents and prepare necessary documentation for customs clearance, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of IT systems related to logistics operations.
- Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and all legal, health, and safety standards.
- Implement standardized processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and identify areas for operational enhancement.
- Oversee the entire cycle of returnable cases, including planning, inventory count, lead time, export shipping, and relevant documentation in line with country-specific and customer requirements.
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Egypt Customs regulations and exemption list requirements.
- Participate in routine operational and planning reviews to drive efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate logistics activities while liaising with manufacturing plants, suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and transportation companies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong problem-solving skills to address transportation and logistics challenges, including import/export processes.
- Ability to contribute to lean operational strategies by optimizing containerization and improving dock operations.
- Track and monitor shipments, maintaining key performance metrics and generating reports for data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop logistics schedules and reports, ensuring efficient dock capacity planning and proactive communication.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.

- Skilled in interpreting, contributing to, and leading business case development to justify project investments, quantify costs, and highlight ROI. Capable of working independently while providing technical guidance when needed.
