Job Overview
Elsewedy Electric East Africa Ltd is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist – Export to oversee the smooth flow of inbound and outbound logistics. The successful candidate will ensure efficient transportation of goods and raw materials, maintain compliance with Tanzania’s shipping regulations, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities
✔ Coordinate freight and shipments to ensure seamless export operations.
✔ Verify shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Packing List, Certificate of Conformity, etc.).
✔ Manage inbound logistics, working closely with the production team to ensure timely arrivals and storage planning.
✔ Negotiate freight rates while ensuring compliance with Tanzania’s shipping regulations.
✔ Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
✔ Ensure timely and accurate delivery of consignments to their destinations.
✔ Resolve delivery issues, maintain accurate logistics records, and optimize processes.
✔ Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to streamline logistics operations.
✔ Monitor compliance with local and international customs regulations to avoid legal risks.
✔ Analyze logistics data to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
✔ Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications & Experience Required
✅ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Logistics Management or a related field.
✅ Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in clearing and forwarding, with expertise in East African customs regulations.
- A clearing and freight forwarding practicing certificate is an added advantage.
✅ Technical Skills:
✔ Proficiency in Tanzania Customs Integrated Systems (TANCIS).
✔ Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
✔ Experience in inventory management and transportation logistics.
✔ Knowledge of customs compliance and regulatory requirements.
✅ Core Competencies:
✔ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
✔ Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
✔ Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different departments.
✔ High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
✔ Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
