Job Summary

Our client is looking for a dynamic, customer-focused sales professional to join their team as a Lodge & Camps Sales Manager. If you have a passion for hospitality, excellent sales skills, and a results-driven mindset, this is an exciting opportunity for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to attract new clients, retain existing customers, and exceed revenue targets. Your tasks will include direct sales efforts, market research, networking, and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth: Generate new business leads, close deals, and boost revenue through cold calls, site visits, sales tours, and networking.
  • Market Analysis: Identify new business opportunities by analyzing local market trends and competitor activity.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major group and catering clients to expand market share.
  • Sales Strategy & Budgeting: Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing sales strategies and preparing departmental budgets.
  • Industry Representation: Act as a professional brand ambassador for the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Collaboration with Revenue Team: Work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure that negotiated rates align with financial goals.
  • Customer Engagement & Retention: Maintain relationships with both new and existing customers to secure future bookings through sales calls, entertainment activities, and trade shows.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with the front office team to ensure seamless customer service and aligned business goals.
  • Meetings & Reporting: Attend necessary departmental and lodge meetings and provide management with timely strategic sales insights.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism & Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Strong customer service orientation with empathy for clients and colleagues.
    • Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
    • Sound analytical skills to assess market trends and competition.
    • Solid knowledge of marketing strategies and revenue growth techniques.
    • A confident, warm, and hospitable personality with a professional demeanor.
