Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) is looking for suitable candidates on the position of Library Officer II to join their working team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As Sellected candidate you will support the management operations of the organization including library and Public Access Registry.

POSITION: Library Officer II

Job Type: Full-time

Job Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • As sellected candidate you will be required to assist in developing and implementing of library policies, procedures and regulations.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to support the management in the Access of  Registry.
  • You willHelp in selecting books, periodicals and audiovisual materials for the EWURA library.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to assist in receiving, recording and maintaining of books and other publications.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to maintain an accurate accession of the register for all library materials.
  • You will be required to prepare and update both physical and electronic library catalogs.
  • As sellected candidate you will classify all library materials for easy access and retrieval.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to guide library users in searching and retrieving information from the collection.
  • You will manage the circulation of books, periodicals and other materials.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to ensure the proper shelving and organization of library materials.
  • You will be required to verify bibliographic details, classification, cataloging and indexing.
  • As sellected candidate you will be required to oversee the processing and repairing of library reference materials.
  • Performing any other duties as can be assigned by superiors.

Qualifications and Experience

As interested candidates in this position you must have Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields as analyzed below;

  • Librarianship
  • Library and Information Studies
  • Library Studies
  • Library and Information Science
  • Information Studies
  • Documentation and Information Management
  • Or any other qualification from recognized institution.

Remuneration

Salary Scale: EWURA SS 4
