Lending Analytics and Modelling Lead – NBC (March 2025)

Job Summary

As the Lending Analytics and Modelling Lead, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to enhance business decision-making. Your primary focus will be on data modelling, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights. By identifying trends, patterns, and potential risks, you will support NBC in optimizing lending operations and driving strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Develop and implement predictive models, statistical models, and machine learning algorithms to provide valuable insights.
• Extract, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Create interactive data visualizations and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization software.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain data integrity and reliability.
• Work closely with data engineers and IT teams to integrate and consolidate data from various sources.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer business-related queries and provide timely insights.
• Continuously enhance data analysis processes and predictive models for improved efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations while handling and analyzing data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics efforts with business objectives.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data analysis methodologies, processes, and insights.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data analytics, AI, and emerging technologies.
• Generate regular reports summarizing key insights and offering actionable recommendations.
• Manage end-to-end analytics projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in analytical systems support.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in lending, data design, and modelling.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of database structures and system requirements.
• Experience with data mining, modelling techniques, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Advanced data analysis skills – Ability to clean, transform, and analyze data for meaningful insights.
• Strong SQL proficiency – Ability to query, manipulate, and analyze data in relational databases.
• Data visualization expertise – Experience using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to create dashboards and reports.
• Predictive modelling – Ability to build statistical models and forecast trends based on historical data.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) knowledge – Understanding of data integration processes.
• Data warehousing – Familiarity with concepts like data cubes and star schemas.
• Business intelligence (BI) alignment – Understanding of KPIs and business objectives to create data-driven strategies.
• Problem-solving mindset – Ability to identify complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills – Strong data storytelling abilities to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Database management expertise – Familiarity with NoSQL databases and database management systems.
• Collaboration skills – Ability to work with cross-functional teams to align analytics with business needs.
